A silent retreat is more than a pause in routine; it is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the depths of one’s being, allowing the noise of the world to dissipate and the Voice of God to resound in one’s soul.
Nine young men, members of the Oblate Affiliates Group (a group of young men seeking vocational discernment) lived this experience with a clear purpose: to advance in their vocational discernment.
Guided by Fr. Jesse Esqueda, this retreat became a space for a personal encounter with God.
Antonio Gonzalez, one of the young men, shared:
“This retreat helped me to improve as a person and to recognize the areas in which I can grow. God is guiding me to become a better Christian.”
May this experience inspire more young men and women to open their hearts to God’s call.
Let us continue to pray for vocations in our community!
