A few days ago, the community had its traditional Christmas party: an event held every year to celebrate Nativity of Christ. This event not only reminds us of the expected arrival of Our Lord, but also preaches fellowship in our community.
Our posada featured food, dancing, the typical posada songs (Mary and Joseph seeking shelter at the inn) and the iconic pastorela (depiction of the shepherds’ journey to see Jesus in the manger), which was acted out by youth from our Scholarship Program.
These efforts are carried out to further unite the members of the community, so that they can feel the presence of God even more.
At the end of the Posada, all the youth and their families received a Christmas food basket with a blanket. We appreciate the participation of all our ministries, and especially the collaboration of our visiting friends from the United States, Here For Kids International team.
