Imagine you are a child from one of the poorest communities in the world. You do not fully know what it means to receive a gift, because the vast shortages in your home do not allow you to experience the joy of receiving a nice present for Christmas.
Then the news arrives that friends are coming from the United States to deliver presents to you, your siblings and all the children in the community. You wouldn’t believe the excitement that would run through you! You would finally receive a present!
The day arrives, and not only do you receive a gift, but your friends from the U.S. give you a smile, a hug and a nice time of playing. In addition, you see that your parents are carrying food baskets, blankets and clothes with them, that means your family will not be so cold this winter.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank the Tamayo family, the Mendoza family, Lucy and her family, Ana Delia Torres and her son for taking time out of their weekly routine to share with the children of our community.
We ask you to pray for this great work and for the underprivileged members of our community to get ahead!
