A large percentage of children today no longer go out with other children to have fun, but wait for their parents to give them their phones and spend countless hours looking at an electronic gadget.
Faced with this reality, the Psychology Program implemented the Children’s Camp. The objective of the camp is to help children recognize, control, and express their emotions through physical activities, arts and crafts, baking, and other activities. They also receive encouragement and motivations through the teachings and the life of St. Eugene de Mazenod, the founder of the Missionary Oblates.
This camp included children from the entire community, facilitators and speakers. For continuity, meetings will be organized with parents to reinforce what was learned.
